If you think you bought a fake BAPE, stop wearing it, keep everything, and find your deadline today. Your way back to your money depends on how you paid and where you bought, not on how sure you are. On PayPal and eBay, the usual limit for goods is about 30 days after delivery. Credit card disputes have their own clock. Everything below was checked on November 4, 2026, and it covers US rules and US pages. Terms differ by country.
First, the five things to do today
- Stop wearing and washing it. Leave every tag on, including anything loose. You may have to send it back.
- Keep the bag, box, label and any inserts. Screenshot the listing now, photos included, because sellers can edit or delete it.
- Save the payment receipt, the tracking page and every message with the seller.
- Do not confirm receipt or mark the order as fine if the platform asks. Do not leave positive feedback either.
- Take clear photos of the tags, print and stitching in daylight. Our photo guide lists the shots that help.
Make sure it really is fake
One odd detail proves nothing. BAPE changed its tags over the years, so a real older piece can look wrong next to a recent one. Check the piece against the era it claims to be from, using more than one point. Start with our tag guide, or the for shoes.
